Texas-Tulips ~ Exploring Denton County, TX

Texas-Tulips
Texas-Tulips | Pilot Point, TX

Nestled in Denton County’s Pilot Point, is an outdoor adventure for all ages:  Texas-Tulips.  Located about 30 minutes from the city of Denton, Texas-Tulips offers a fun afternoon of soaking up a riot of gorgeous color and choosing the perfect tulips to take home.

Seay Realty Group loves to highlight the joys of living in North Texas through their team’s own experiences, so our Marketing Director, Leslie Haralson, and her son recently took the afternoon to experience Texas-Tulips.  “With spring break underway, Ian and I wanted to try something new, so we took off late in the morning to Pilot Point.  We’ll definitely plan to go again!”

Offering a massive array of tulip varieties, the “u-pick” tulip farm has thousands of blooms to choose from for $2.50 a stem.  On the afternoon Leslie and Ian made the journey, there were quite a few adventurers enjoying the Spring weather, but there was no problem maintaining social distancing.    General admission is $5 per person, and the convenience of paying by credit card for both admission and your chosen blooms is offered.

“It was a great afternoon enjoying the blooms, and watching Ian choose the tulips that most appealed to him. For me, I totally enjoyed the opportunity to photograph the moments.” After choosing your stems there are wrapping stations where the staff carefully adds a gel to your cut flowers, and wraps them in a bright paper to take home.

A Few Tips From Leslie & Ian’s Experience:

  • Wear tennis shoes. Our day was still a little muddy from the recent weather, so expect to take a little of the field home with you. Shoe coverings were graciously offered for those that needed them.
  • This was a fantastic spot for Spring photos!
  • Definitely go on a day you can enjoy taking your time.
  • Pay close attention to the instructions on picking your blooms.
  • Baskets were offered onsite, so no need to take your own.
  • Parking was free, and concessions were available.

Before going, check out Texas Tulips’ website for more detailed information about your visit. As always, if you thinking of moving to North Texas, give Seay Realty Group a call today! We love our community, and are here to help you with all of your real estate needs. 214.636.8485
