It’s Patio Season in North Texas!
One of the best things about living in Texas, in our opinion, is patio dining! If you’re new to Texas, let us introduce you to a few of our favorite patios. These aren’t just any patios either – Texas patios have ceiling fans so you’re never too hot, space heaters so you’re never too cold, and some even welcome your dogs!

Marty B’s, 2664 FM 407 East, Bartonville 940-241-3500. Marty B’s is one of our new favorite places to meet up with friends. With a roof-top dining, fire pits, another outside dining area with comfy seating, Marty B’s just might be the ultimate patio place! Live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and Texas menu’s involving steak, BBQ and Tex-Mex, and you’ve got the formula for Texas patio dining. Oh … did we mention the craft beers? And the 11-foot HD screen for games? A great gathering place!
Mena’s Grill Tex Mex Cantina, 2500 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 110, Flower Mound 214-285-9900. Located in the Lakeside Development, Mena’s has a wonderful atmosphere, an outstanding tex-mex menu, and a patio that overlooks Lakeside. Our favorite thing are the brisket taco’s, which are served with sliced avocados.
Mi Dia From Scratch, 2601 W. Windsor Drive, Flower Mound 972-874-4747. Mi Dia from scratch offers a fusion of traditional Mexico City recipes with modern Santa Fe and Tex Mex flavors. Duck Carnitas are a Mi Dia signature item that will have you swooning! Their signature drink, a Cloud 9 .. well, you just have to taste it – so light and fresh! Rockin’ S Bar & Grill on Lake Grapevine at Twin Coves Marina 4600 Murrell Park Road, Flower Mound 972-539-2795. A rock & roll themed dining and live music entertainment concept, overlooking Lake Grapevine and the marina. What better way to spend a balmy Texas night? Live Music, too, and a rockin’ dance floor!
Tierney’s Café & Tavern, 208 E. Main Street, Lewisville TX 972-353-2109 – Tierney’s is in an old house turned restaurant in Old Town Lewisville. Sunday Brunch is a local tradition for many, and they pack the house. Their patio is shaded, comfortable, and wonderful! Order Mimosa’s on the patio, and you just might stick around for a while.
1121 Flower Mound Road, Flower Mound 469-763-9582. With a dog friendly patio and Mexican Street Corn to die for, not to mention Mexican Martinis and a friendly staff, this just might become your new hangout! Mexican food.
Verf’s Grill & Tavern, 2221 Justin Road, Flower Mound 972-317-3390. Verfs offers a heated patio on cooler days and an open air patio on nicer days. Their food is outstanding and made from scratch. aily Chef specials are offered, happy hour specials, and wine Wednesday make Verf’s a great place to hang out. Traditional American food.
Witherspoon Distillery, 225 S. Charles Street, Lewisville TX 214-814-0545 – this whiskey bar and distillery offers a shaded, rustic patio – perfect for tasting a craft Cocktail list, full bar and plenty of mocktail options! Distillery tours are available as well as live music, karaoke nights, tastings and pairings, food trucks and much more! Pssst a Crawfish boil is scheduled for April 28th – call for details!
