Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live rankings were first published over 30 years ago! It’s purpose was to help families find their next hometown, since the average American will move 11 times throughout their life.

This year’s poll names Flower Mound to #16 out of 50, describing it as a growing city that maintains its small-town feeling. The article notes family-friendly Flower Mound is located on the shores of Grapevine Lake, offering its residents water-skiing, fishing, camping, biking, and other outdoor recreation.
The town does many things to attract new residents to the area, with it’s higher than average high school graduation rates, and reasonable home prices. Additionally, a Riverwalk was approved ten years ago that is opening in stages. With a hospital, medical offices and hotel already open, a chapel is planned for early 2019. Eventually, restaurants, shops and an ampitheatre will call the Riverwalk home.
