Up and Coming Neighborhoods to Consider

Keep your eye on these up and coming Metroplex neighborhoods for 2018. With both charm and value, you have the perfect combination for growing, and trendy, communities:

2-neighborhood1Hemphill Heights – This area will draw the young and trendy! Buyers will see a large stock of Craftsman bungalows and larger, quirky-but-noble, turn-of-the-century houses. Add into the mix a sprinkling of warehouses and commercial buildings ripe for residential conversion or boutique businesses, and you have the perfect ingredients for a lively bohemian enclave.

East Arlington Heights – Already featured twice on HGTV’s Flip or Flop Fort Worth, the neighborhood is dotted with 1,500 square foot cottages built in the 1920s through the 1940s. Much of the space is getting torn down and rebuilt which gives the area a somewhat inconsistent appearance but it is also solid evidence of underlying value.

2-neighborhood4Oakhurst – With charming street names like Primrose, Bluebonnet, and Mapleleaf, and quaint cottages from the 1920s through 1940s, Oakhurst is reminiscent of Oak Cliff with pricing where Oak Cliff was a decade or so ago. But if you want a piece of the area you had better hurry. Upscale development has already begun along Oakhurst’s Scenic Drive, which will only serve as a catalyst for further development and put additional upward pressure on prices.
