DFW Golf Courses

Places To Play Golf in the DFW Metroplex

It comes as no surprise that the DFW Metroplex is home to over 100 public golf courses, from the municipals to some very high-end links.  And DFW counts well over 100+ private golf courses, nestled within the area, too.  Let’s face it… everything is bigger in Texas, including being home to some gorgeous, award winning courses!  Whether you’re just visiting DFW or whether you call the metroplex home, if you’re a golf lover, you’re certainly in good company for finding fantastic courses to play.

Dallas is host several professional golf events in 2025, including the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship at TPC Craig Ranch (April 28th – May 4th) in McKinney, the Dean and Deluca Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth (May 1st -4th), and the Charles Schwab Challenge also at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth (May 22nd – May 25th).

With the Fall weather these days being optimal to get outside and enjoy a round of golf, we thought we’d ask around and share some of our local golfer’s favorite links to get outside and play.  This list is nowhere close to be exhaustive of the variety of courses, both public and private, so if you have a favorite course that we’ve missed- be sure to share it in our blog comments.  Information regarding each of the courses is subject to change.  Be sure and check the course’s website for up to date information before heading out or scheduling your tee times.
