Real estate agents and interior designers collaborate often, creating inviting environments for home buyers and sellers alike. This valuable relationship is critical in bringing fresh, trendy perspectives and expertise to the forefront for their clients.

Our February focus for Seay Realty Group DFW is “Love Your Home”, spotlighting the new trends in design for 2021.  Today’s blog focuses on how Seay Realty Group DFW works with designers to assist you in creating the perfect spaces in building your dream home or optimizing existing spaces to sell your home for top prices.

Tell us a little bit about you and your business

I began working at IBB Design in 2012 after studying Interior Design at Texas Tech University. I work with clients on designing new builds, remodel jobs, and specifying furniture.  As a former college athlete, I have learned the importance of working as a team. I value the relationships I have with my clients and feel trust and communication are key. I live in Prosper, TX with my husband Curtis, 3-year-old daughter Rylie and a baby boy on the way.

Name a recent project you’re particularly proud of and why

I take pride when working on all projects with my clients. Whether it’s seeing the transformation on my remodel jobs or starting from the ground up on a new build, I love having the opportunity to work alongside my clients and guide them throughout the process.  My goal is to create a functional and beautiful space for my clients to enjoy for years to come.

What is your favorite color trend at the moment?

I am having so much fun interjecting blush tones into a space. It is a soft and romantic neutral that works well with so many other colors!

What trends do you predict will be the most popular in 2021

  • Light and natural stains
  • I am seeing these natural stains in cabinets, wood floors, and furniture
  • Mixing metals
  •  I love mixing metals with lighting, hardware, plumbing, and furniture pieces
  • Wallpaper
    • Have fun interjecting a textured or patterned wallpaper in your home
  • Out with the old, in with the new.. What trends do you think are on their way out?
  • We are starting to see a shift from gray tones to clients wanting warmer tones throughout their homes
  • Smaller tiles and busy backsplash/mosaics.  Clients really want the larger format tiles and slabs that provide simple and clean lines with less grout and maintenance
