Shopping3Online shopping hasn’t dimmed the brick-and-mortar market in the Dallas Fort Worth area, and that’s good news for those of us who like to head out and shop til we drop!

According to the Dallas Morning News, “our market is holding strong. D-FW merchants added 722,000 square feet more retail space in the first quarter. The demand for space was pretty evenly split between Dallas and Fort Worth. West Dallas, and the Mid-Cities area, claimed the largest net leasing totals.

With more leasing than building going on, overall retail vacancy fell to just 5.5% – the lowest in more than five years.”

Booming D-FW employment, and robust population growth, are cited as the driving force behind a continued strong retail property sector.
