Market Reports for June 2019
The market reports for our area were recently released by GLAR (The Greater Lewisville Association of REALTORS®) – take a look at how your area is faring.
Median prices are down slightly from this time a year ago, and the number of active listings are up. This is reflective of a slight slowdown in sales compared to a year ago, but that is no surprise and certainly no cause for alarm. The market has shifted slightly from a sellers market in favor of a more neutral market and the GLAR figures support it.
Not unlike Flower Mound, Lantana’s median prices are also down slightly from this time a year ago. The number of active listings have remained flat compared to last year – no change. The months of inventory available has remained very close to the numbers from this time last year, a trend seen over the Metroplex.
We were curious to see if the numbers for Denton County as a whole were following the same sort of path. Median Prices were up, but only 0.1% – essentially flat. The county as a whole had Active Listings of up 15.7% from a year ago, not surprising given the amount of new construction homes in the Denton County area.
It’s clear that our market is balancing out compared to the boom-times we experienced the last few years, just as we expected. Your dream home is out there, and we would love to help you find it! Call The Seay Realty Group today!!
