As you begin to make your plans for the 4th of July, keep in mind that the Metroplex hosts some of the biggest, grandest 4th of July celebrations in the country! With our weather remaining unusually moderate (in the 90’s) for this time of year, our outdoor celebrations should be very enjoyable!
Beginning with the 2nd largest 4th of July celebration in the United States, we have KaBoom Town in Addison.
Addison’s Kaboom Town 2019 – July 3rd. For more than three decades, Addison Kaboom Town!® has been named among the top fireworks shows in the country. The spectacular show was named the #2 Independence Day fireworks display by Yahoo.com, and is ranked as one of the top 10 fireworks displays in the country by USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Travel + Leisure Magazine, and the American Pyrotechnic Association. Dallas Arboretum – July 1st – 4th Red, White and Blues music. Stroll through the Dallas Arboretum, on July 4 and enjoy the pleasant sounds of saxophonist Rob Holbert. Family and friends will be able to purchase $2 hot dogs and $2 root beer floats. General admission is free for active and retired members of the military and first responders with a valid I.D. Dallas – Fourth at Fair Park – July 4th The City of Dallas, State Fair of Texas, and WFAA will be celebrating America with family and friends at Fair Park Fourth. The park will include live entertainment, rides, games, concession stands, and a spectacular firework show. Guests are invited to sit at the Cotton Bowl for the firework show that will begin at 9:37. However, the fireworks should be visible from anywhere in the park. Admission for the park is free, but guests will have to pay for parking. More info here
Flower Mound Independence Fest celebrates America’s freedom on Thursday, July 4, 2019! Le Freak, and headliner Bret Michaels, will entertain the crowd. Admission and parking are FREE! Fireworks around 9:50 pm
Earlier in the day, the annual Flower Mound Children’s Parade begins at 10 a.m. and features decorated bikes, trikes, wagons and strollers, followed by free hot dogs and drinks, children’s activities and live entertainment!

Fort Worth’s 4th – July 4th. Enjoy a day of fun family activities & music on the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion. Grapevine – July 4th – 37th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza 9:30 pm this 26 minute exciting show is set to patriotic music! Several designated viewing areas include Oak Grove park, Acorn Woods Park, Rockledge Park (paid parking), Lakeview Park and others.
Lake Cities 4th of July is a one of a kind celebration uniting the communities of Lake Dallas, Corinth, Hickory Creek and Shady Shores. Held at Lake Dallas City park, 101 E. Hundley Drive, Lake Dallas. The all day celebration begins with a patriotic parade at 9 am sponsored by DATCU. Festivities continue all day with food, contests, vendors and live music. Lewisville is hosting their Independence Day festivities on Wednesday, July 3rd from 6 – 10 pm. Wayne Ferguson Plaza is at the center of the celebration and provides the best viewing area for the fireworks show. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Learn more here.
