“Do You Have Your Duck Yet?” People who live in this area keep hearing this question, and are wondering – What in the world does it mean?
The ducks in question are classic yellow rubber duckies who will race in a duck derby at the inaugural Rhythms at the Riverwalk, sponsored by the Cross Timbers Rotary on Saturday, September 15th at the River Walk in Flower Mound.
Anyone can adopt a duck for only $5 with a chance to win some amazing prizes (1st place – $2,500 Visa Gift Card; 2nd place – $1,500 Visa Gift Card; 3rd place – $1,000 Visa Gift Card … more prizes at the event!). More importantly, by adopting a duck, you will help people in your community and around the world. In 2018, the Cross Timbers Rotary helped many local charities such as Love Pacs, Ranch Hand Rescue, Youth and Family Counseling, Children’s Advocacy Center, Mission Moms, Ally’s Wish and more.
As of September 13, 11,847 ducks have been adopted with a goal of 15,000 ducks.
Rhythms at the Riverwalk is an all day family friendly event that features a 5K River Run, a family River Walk, art/vendor booths, children’s activities, food trucks, music & entertainment.
